i apologize for how rantish this is but please hear me out.
anyways i'm a 15 year old girl and i've never really wanted to be a jw.
its just never been something thats made me feel happy or loved.

so here's a real life experience you will get a kick out of.. our kh has about 90 publishers.
typical meeting attendance during a co visit is right at 100 or so.
the rest of the time, attendance is a dismal 50-60, sometimes 70 on a good week!.
The congregation I was in before I faded, joined up with another congregation about 5 years ago due to low attendance, now the attendance is dropping dramatically in this congregation, and with officially about 100 publishers the attendance is sometimes as low as 40, but averages between 50-60.
Not in the US, but a European country.

When I saw the video Sophia video, I started swearing.
the jws at the time in germany where considered part of the aryan race, (since they were not jews).
then things changed for the jws after rutherford mailed a letter to hitler bragging about jehovahs kingdom on earth.. so can we add this to the bloodshed that that the watchtower corp is responsible for?.

hello all.. i haven't been here for some time to post as mainly i read the comments and such.
yesterday was a really interesting, unnerving experience though.
two sisters had called last week when i had an abscess on my tooth and was sort of sick from it.
Why not ask a couple of friends around at the same time and when the sister arrives with her (elder) husband tell them that your friends are also interested in the discussion.
Of course prime your friends well on this.
after leaving the organisation 10 years ago i fought with everything i had to stay in my marriage and with my three children.
after a tumultuous number of years trying to maintain a happy family life while living in a divided home, it's finally over.
the religion is single handedly responsible for destroying my marriage and my family.

To give up on your marriage without even making an effort to see the other side of the story is absolutely astonishing to me.
I am having precisely the same problem with my wife, she will not even open the bible to have a discussion on any text. I can imagine how you feel, it is very hurtful, I have been married for 22 years.

in may's "we will never solicit for money, but now we're going to solicit you for the next hour" broadcast, we kept hearing about all the "facts" that the gb would like for us to know.. hmm...what facts did they leave out?.

I had a session with my psychiatrist this morning, (yes I need it after 28 years thought control), I am lucky to find one that is really knowledgeable about cults and how they work.
One thing he said this morning was that something has to happen, some kind of action by the cult, before a person starts to question things. Unfortunately he said that most people in a cult have given up thinking independently, they do not want to think, because it is so much easier to have somebody else do the thinking for them. The thing is with JWs, they have such a wonderful future planned out for them, everlasting life in a paradise earth, why should they risk losing that by thinking independently.
Subjects like this for lurkers is really good, it might just get them thinking, perhaps this is a subject that will cause them to evaluate things.
I think it is really good that lurkers are on here, because their sleep is being disturbed.
earlier this morning, i posted off to the the institute of engineers an application for membership as an "engineering associate":.
- today being just over 40 years since the congregation's retards elders made me abandon my apprenticeship.. (in this part of the world, the pre-1975 hype was taken to that level.
not being content to prevent young persons attending university, they went one step further and treated with hostility any youngster who would "tie up five years of their lives" by entering into an apprenticeship.
